A new chapter in Northern Ireland football is taking shape

Operated by the Northern Amateur Football League (NAFL), the NI Conference League will provide a clear pathway for local clubs, bridging the gap from grassroots football through to championship level as part of a revised football pyramid for Northern Ireland.

While this new league is still in development, this site will serve as an information hub as we work towards its launch. For now, you can still download the league concept document to gain a better understanding of how the new league fits within the new football pyramid.

The first stage in launching the new Conference League involved clubs submitting an expression of interest form. This initial phase closed on 15th April 2025. The Northern Amateur Football League is encouraged by the strong response from clubs and would like to thank everyone who took the time to express their interest in this exciting new chapter for local football.
